Digital Tax was formed early in 2015 with the vision of being a modern accountant. Gone are the days of out-dated accounts that have little to no meaning other than just a figure to pay in tax.

The use of software was key, everything these days is now online, even selling your house! Our vision was to use software to optimise processes and improve efficiencies for businesses throughout the UK. 

Using the latest technology also allows us to work towards future goals too, seeing trends, analysing data like never before – we want to deliver an unforgettable experience to every client.

Our team

Marcus Howarth

Managing Director

Starting his training in 2007, Marcus has 10+ years of practical experience. Before starting his own practice, Marcus was a client manager of around 200 clients also managing an accounts team dealing with multiple queries per day. Starting Digital Tax in 2015, Marcus set out to become a modern accountant using the latest technology to help clients understand more about their business and create the most effective and efficient businesses.

Maisie-Anne Hughes

Accounts Assistant

Maisie is an Accounts Assistant currently studying towards her AAT qualifications. Having joined the team in May 2018 Maisie has become an integral part of the team dealing with clients on a daily basis both at the office and also at clients premises. Maisie specialises in Xero and has become a Xero certified advisor.

Hayley Brown

Administration Assistant

Hayley joined the Digital Tax team early in 2018, Hayley is responsible for various administration duties such as letters, compliance filings and task management. Hayley has also recently undertaken some bookkeeping courses in both Xero & FreeAgent.
